Prenatal and Postpartum Massage Therapy

What Is Prenatal and Postpartum Massage?

Prenatal and postpartum massage clients are some of the most important clients I treat. Being a part of your journey through pregnancy is an honor and privilege. Taking care of yourself, your body, and your baby is the top priority.

Massage is safe for all birthing parents, during all three trimesters. It not only will help you relax and unwind from the stress of carrying your baby, but it will help you have a beautiful moment of peace and connection with your baby. Prenatal and postpartum massage can be as light or deep as you want, aside from some contraindications that will be discussed and gone over before your session. I will be sure to make you feel comfortable, and avoid any contraindicated points.

Prenatal Massages can be done in one of two ways- side-lying, where you, the client, will lay on your left side, your right side, and then on your back. When you lay on your right, the left side of your body will be worked on, and vice versa. I also have a pregnancy pillow that allows the birthing parent to lay both face-up AND face-down! This is so exciting for most, as this will be one of the few times when you’ll be able to lay on your stomach during pregnancy. The massage will be performed just like a normal massage, with you being safely bolstered in the pillow. Massage By Meg is also a transgender safe space and welcomes all birthing parents to experience an incredible, relaxing massage.
